Weekend Family Activities at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

When: Every Saturday

Ages: All Ages

Cost: Free

Every Saturday and Sunday from 1:00-4:00pm the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art holds a Family Art Class! They offer free activities for all ages, so bring the whole family out for some hands-on learning and art making!

Cost: $6-$10 a child

Has the chilly weather left you searching for somewhere to let your kids run and play indoors? Let them stretch their muscles and test their acrobatics at one of Kansas City’s fine gymnastics centers!

Story Time in The Barn

When: Saturday, November 21, 10:00-11:00am

Ages: 3-8 Year Olds

Cost: Free

Every third Saturday, the Wornall Majors House Museum along with the Kansas City Public Library team up to bring you story time in the barn!

The theme for November is Stories of the Underground Railroad. Listen to tales of bravery from the Underground Railroad, and then create your own Underground Railroad quilt square.

Scavenger Saturdays at the Kemper Museum

When: Saturday, November 21, 10:00am – 3:00pm

Ages: All Ages

Cost: Free

Practice your detective skills while exploring the fine art exhibits at the Kemper Museum! This event is held every third Saturday from 10:00am – 3:00pm.

Stop by the visitor’s desk to begin your adventure, and follow the clues all the way to the end of the scavenger hunt, where you can pick up your free take-home art-making activity kit!
