Jerry Courson

“Treat everyone you do business with like you might see them at the grocery store or the mall, and when you do, you want it to be a good and pleasant experience.” This is what Jerry’s father, a small-business owner for over 35 years, instilled in him from a very early age. And Jerry realized that it really is that simple; that to be a successful business owner, it comes down to treating people with respect, honesty, and integrity. This is what has made Jerry so successful as the President of Premier; that, and his vast experience in the industry. Jerry began his roofing career working on a tear-off crew during the summer months when he was only 16 years old. Since then, Jerry has been immersed in the home exterior business, over the years gathering an abundance of knowledge and experience in everything having to do with home exterior remodeling. For Jerry, all the hard work is worth it when he gets to experience the accomplishment of meeting the needs of those around him. He enjoys meeting and interacting with new people all of the time, as well as the challenge and exhilaration of working outdoors and at considerable heights. Jerry began presiding over Premier, alongside of Richard, the original owner of Premier, back in 2005. At that time, Premier was mostly a windows and siding company. When Jerry jumped on board, he insisted that Premier take on roofing as well, as that was Jerry’s passion, and where his skill set was. Jerry is not interested in simply earning another dollar–he takes great pride in building relationships, and providing quality products, service, and customer care.

Richard joined The United States Air Force in 1961, where he was part of the Strategic Air Command until 1965, when he was honorably discharged. Soon after, Richard began working in retail sporting goods business management. He became the store manager of Gateway Sporting Goods on the Landing. Although his job was satisfying, he wondered what more he might be able to do, and so in the mid seventies, Richard began selling windows and siding. It did not take long for Richard to realize that he needed to be in business for himself. It also did not take long for him to realize that not everyone shared his business ethics of hard work and honesty. Richard felt that everyone he did business with deserved his greatest effort, and the most superior products on the market. And so Richard began his own business founded on honesty and hard work. Richard also owned an insurance agency at the time, and it was proving increasingly difficult to manage both businesses well on his own, and so he began searching for a business partner who shared his business ethics, which proved difficult to come by. That is where Jerry Courson came in. In 2005 Richard met Jerry, and found in him exactly what he was looking for in a business partner: someone who placed the highest value on honesty, integrity, and hard work. Jerry began working with Richard for Premier, and within 6 months was promoted to CEO of Premier Siding, Roofing, and Home Improvement. Richard is now able to rest confidently and relax into his later years with Jerry presiding over Premier, upholding the values Richard built the company upon. Richard is now able to focus on his insurance business, as well as pursue his hobbies of pocket billiards and fishing, as well as skeet shooting when he has some extra time. Richard absolutely loves living in Gladstone, MO, where he served as a past president of the Gladstone Area Chamber of Commerce. He says he really could not live in a better community, and values the friendships he has built with the people of Gladstone over the years.

Vivian Brown

Office Manager

Vivian was looking for a job that would enable her to reenter office management, and when she came upon Premier, it was a perfect fit; both for her, and Premier! She has been managing Premier’s office for two years now, and has enjoyed learning a new industry, as well as facilitating the behind-the-scenes work of Premier with great efficiency. Vivian has lived in the Kansas City area all of her life, and enjoys shopping at Zona Rosa and Legends, savoring a treat at the Cheesecake Factory, perusing the City Market, and spending an afternoon at the Kansas City Zoo.

Cheyanne Brown

Administrative Assistant

When Cheyanne was looking for a job that would work well with her college classes, her mom—Premier’s office manager—suggested that Cheyanne come and help her in Premier’s office. It was a perfect fit, and together Vivian and Cheyanne hold a tight ship in Premier’s office, enabling the team to do their very best work out in the community. Cheyanne was raised in the Kansas City area, and she enjoys catching a movie when she’s not busy at Premier or studying.

Dave Lindsey

General Manager of Siding and Windows

Dave Lindsey began in siding and moved to siding management, where he opened his own siding company and ran it for 10 years, from 1980 to 1990, when he sold the company. He didn’t stop there, however–he then opened Missouri Siding And Windows in 1991, and owned that company for 15 years before selling it in 2006. With his vast knowledge and experience in the siding industry, Dave is the perfect man to have in charge of your siding project. He has worked as a consultant for some of the nation’s largest home improvement companies, including Washington Energy, St. Clair, Ameritech, and Hometown Restyling, as well as Manufactured Heartland Building Products, and Mitten Manufacturing. Along with being featured in numerous national publications for his outstanding siding expertise, Dave is also the winner of the Golden Hammer Award from Alco for renovation of the Dolcese Estate.
